The OBD0 VTEC ECU family consists of two primary units: the PR3 and the PW0. These units were utilized to control the B16A1 engine in OBD0 vehicles produced between 1989 and 1991.

Compatibility and Specifications#

There is no code interchangeability between the PR3 and the PW0 ECUs. While they share the same application platform, their internal programming and hardware configurations are distinct.

Hardware Specifications#

• Clock Speed: Both units utilize a crystal oscillator operating at 7.900 MHz.
• Application: B16A1 engines (1989–1991).
