High Impedance Injectors

High-impedance (saturated) injectors and where they are used.

Updated Jun 13, 2026

High-impedance injectors, also called saturated injectors, have a relatively high coil resistance (roughly 12 ohms and up). The ECU can switch them directly with a simple saturated driver, so they need no resistor pack or special driver. Most factory Honda injectors are high-impedance, which is why they plug straight into the stock harness.

They are the easy choice for most street and mild builds: simpler wiring, less heat, and direct compatibility with stock and most aftermarket ECUs. Only very large, high-flow injectors are commonly offered as low-impedance units instead.
