Compression ratio refers to how much the airfuel mixture is compressed during the compression stroke.

Compression ratio refers to how much the air-fuel mixture is compressed during the compression stroke. There are many ways to measure compression - Static Compression, Dynamic Compression, Piston Compression. Dave Blundell says "HELP!!! I'm in over my head explaining this properly... Someone else do it"
