Desoldering Braid

Desoldering braid (also known as solder wick) is a fine-woven, typically copper wire used for removing excess solder from circuit boards.
How it Works
It utilizes "wicking" action, similar to a paper towel absorbing liquid. When heated with a soldering iron, the braid draws molten solder away from the board and into the fabric-like weave of the wire.
