I dont have a serial port, how to datalog with TE

I have a cable that goes to the 4 pins on the ecu but it has a serial end and my new laptop only has USB ports. If I grab a serial to USB adapter will I still be able to datalog and interface?

Yes or buy a DKU5 off ebay. They're like $8 or something.

I use serial to usb with my LC-1 and it works fine..
