I'm very new to all this, here is what im planning on getting so far, let me know if it works.
PLX M-300 Wideband

http://www.moates.net/ostrich-real-time ... -p-57.html
and crome
im not really sure what i need in the area of chipping though, if i were to do it myself what tools would i need? i would rather do it myself to save some money, but doing it right is more important.
dont worry im going to go read as much as i can
by the way, this will be on a 95 b18b1. right now all i have in intake and catback, but i plan on turbo in the future. i think my car is running rich and i get bad gas mileage.
To make it easier get crome pro and if you don't want to leave the ostrich in forever then you will eventually need to get a chip burner when you get your tuning done. So then you can take the ostrich out and just run on the chip. For chipping you need a soldering iron, some solder wick or braid maybe a desoldering tool, and a chipping kit. Your bad gas milage can be caused by very many different things. Like the air filter is dirty and/or the fuel filter is dirty and/or the injectors are clogged or dirty, ect...
thanks. why dont i want to leave the ostrich in forever? and the o2 sensor is my next step in trying to get my car to run right. i already did the air filter, plugs, wires, dizzy cap, rotor, and fuel filter. i can smell that my car is running rich though, plus my cat went bad.
but i just want to have all this set up and be familiar with it before i boost

your saying to get that for the chipping right? but then still use crome?
The uber1 kit includes everything you need to socket the ECU..
You still use Crome.. the kit really has little to do with Uber, it was just the name he picked for it.

is this just a list of what to buy or do they sell it as a package?
I was just saying that if you want to take the ostrich out then you need the chip but you can leave the ostrich in if you want to, it's just an option to take it out and chip the ECU when done tunning. If you did that you could use it on another car of yours or your buddy.
i cant find the uber1 on moates other than the list of parts. do they have a package or do i just order them from another site?
That is the chip kit i used to be called the ubre1 kit... I think? any way i will tell you what you need.
A chip kit(moates)
the ostrich(moates)
something to datalog with hulog/hondalog (moates)
and crome pro
You dont neep to have a wideband because I can tell that you are a novice and should let someone tune your car for you. Chip your ecu, install the ostrich and hulog/hondalog and regester your version of crome free to crome pro. After that make a base map and bring it to someone that tunes on a load type dyno.
while i am a novice now, i dont plan on being one forever. so im gonna get the wideband, read all that i can, and then learn how to do it myself. thanks for you help guys. im guessin ill be around on this site a lot
well i think now im going to just buy a prechipped ecu. what sites should i look at and what features do i want? is
http://www.phearable.net/chippedecus.html a good choice or does somewhere else have better prices?
PM or email Xenocron,
he will sort you out with the things you need.
