question about ecu conversion from LS to Vtec .

I have already chipped an old Ls obd1 automatic computer to a manual. If I were to convert it to vtec, and disable the vtec in crome. Will it still throw the vtec sillynoid not found... Or will it act like a normal non-vtec ecu as long as i don't enable the vtec part on the chip with crome.

no VTEC in Crome means no CEL for lack of solinoid.

so if i add the extra resistors etc... to make it a vtec ecu, and don't enable the vtec on the chip. so it will be a vtec ready ecu and vtec disable, i should be fine no throwing a cel. Also the computer will not run in a loop mode.
