Re: new kit develop

I am very interested; so let me get this right; you replaced the ignitor and coil with a circuit to seperate the 4 cylinders? It looks like it plugs into the OEM harness and all extra hardware is in the OEM distributor... this is pretty cool.

How much USD$ is this kit selling for?

You're not very consistent with your pricing?! One time you offer it for $350 shipped, than you make a offer for $400?

Re: new kit develop

Damn!!! i had that idea on my mind for about 2 months now, ever since i was looking for a COP set up. trigger the coils from the dizzy.

Re: new kit develop

I guess a simple binary counter and trigger circuit for the coilpacks would be all that you would need to do this; cause all of the hookups, and inductive pickups are int he dizzy =)

$400... a little out of my price range for now, but maybe if I am too lazy to R&D it myself I will buy one =)

Re: new kit develop

Is there any data available stating the benefits of using this set up over stock? I assume it's for obd1 set ups only...

you could run that on OBDII... I don't see why it would not... CKP is outside the dizzy, at most switch out the pickups int hat dizzy for obdII pickups... but even then, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Re: new kit develop

I am curious;

Would you sell the adaptors, but as far as the coilpacks are concerned, I would like to use my own that I have on-hand.

I wouldn't need the bracket, or coilpacks; just the cabling... I can provide the connectors and coilpacks myself =)

Basically, I am looking for an "economy" version, or rather, a version of the kit that I could afford because $400 for just an ignition component is too much for me to pull out of my pocket at this time.

I am curious about the kit: you say it utilizes a wasted spark type of firing, so am I correct to assume that it fires 2 and 3 at the same time, along with 1 and 4 at the same time?

The kit is a great idea, since many many people are always asking about converting to individual coils.
