Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

PM7? 00 01 01 02 02 02 03 03 03 03 03 04 04 04 04
They are at memory address 0x3FF1.

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

All I want to do is make the base turbo tune for PM6 and make it work for a ZC motor. Do I need to change to those fuel multipliers?

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

No, you need the values from the fuel and ignition tables as well as the multipliers for the ZC..

Sorry to say, but it would be easier to use (EDIT)"another editor"(/EDIT). Export the maps from a PM7 (the ZC ECU) then open the PM6 ROM, and import those maps in. It will automatically import fuel multipliers with the maps. :-/

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

..it's just a lot of people don't know how to use a hex editor to change data int he ROM. After the maps are imported and saved it can then be edited again in GhD... :(

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

So basically I just need to open the PGMFI_ROM-Boost.bin, then IMPORT the PM7 tune and that's it right?

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

The last version of GhD actually supports multipliers. Nice plug tho

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

..but, correct me if I'm wrong, you have to import the maps through a (EDIT)"another editor"(/EDIT), like I had stated?

Multipliers alone will not allow the maps to run a DOHC engine. The values themselves would need to be there, yes? ..and hand typing them takes so long. So I offered another solution.

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

I would like to comment to the both of you that I use both of your editors and they both will always be on my hardrive. Because I would use something over the other one doesn't mean that I have favorites over them. I wouldn't let it bother either of you. I remember when a few people over a year or two ago would agree that hacking into the ECU would be almost impossible and this was about the time I wanted to "DO" something about it. I was about to buy a Gold ZDYNE, but now I don't have to. The ground that's been covered between that time is absolutly amazing to me...

.. but anyway. To answer my question. Is that all I have to do? I noticed that all the values changed when I imported the PM7 tune over the boost bin.

Thanks

Graham

Re: Multiplier setting for a dohc zc?

..that's because the pulse durations are different, but yes, that is all you have to do.

Jason, if it makes you feel better, your editor, *TURBOEDIT*, is awesome.

Keeping your cool is more important than fighting over absolutly nothing.
