im having some issues with the get rom function not working.
i know there have been some issues with this not workin that were fixed and i did have a version of te where the get rom did work for me. i cant find that now.

is there a specific file that i need for this to work that i may be missing?

i am using te 3.2.2 and have tried with a few previous versions with no luck.
if it helps i have a philips laptop 2ghz dual core processor 4gb ram 250gb hd running vista

I have TE v.3.2.1 and it doesn`t work with Ostritch either....not sure with the newer version but I`ll try it and report back

so you can send the rom to the emulator, but cannot read it back?

if i think of any ideas to try, i will post them later. im the mean time, try using the EmUtility by Mark Mansur...ive tried it before and it works great too. http://www.tunerpro.net/downloadUtils.htm

i can send the rom and rtp no probs, just cant get a rom back from the ostrich.


just got my rom from my ostrich using emutility. what should the settings be? i put in the output destination and changed the size to 0x8000. is this correct and all i need?

Any updates on this ?

I'm having this problem. I can send to ostrich but when i try to download from ostrich i get "this is not a turbo edit supported file do you want to save anyway ?"

i've been spending time writing an updated "21st century" replacement for TE...and i honestly haven't looked into it. actually got datalogging started last night, so im excited to get it done.

I personally have only got the rom off my laptop once yesterday and it looked like a bunch of gibberish. all cells out of vacuum where -28.8 and all the numbers crazy, like where my car wouldn't be running.

I'm getting errors like, com port closed, no available comm ports, unable to open comm port. It worked once yesterday on my laptop. I have my ostrich connected to my pc and still getting these errors.

I'm consistently getting ecu control plugin to work and I just install the usb driver from moates, the 2nd one down as the newest one redirects you to a webpage and I'm not sure what to download from it.


EDIT: ok, super interesting. I changed the comm port from 6 to 2 and it works now..................
