Good day! I was wondering if anyone has used any of the open pins on a PM6 to datalog additional in puts? I have the notion that it might be possible to log pin C8, as it is used on a PM8 (Hf) ECU as the EGR valve lift sensor. I have a PM8 and will be trying to figure out if the hardware is already on a PM6 or if it can be transfered over.

I'm a totally newb at this stuff, so . . . I am just asking if anyone has done it.

I know that if I really need to, I can pull the ELD input off, kill the CEL and log that way, but, I am trying to log an extra sensor without loosing any functionality.

Ideas?

Possibly...looks like the PM8 and A/T PR4 will have the hardware for this circuit. The PM6 and M/T PR4 may or may not have all the components already on the board.

There are 15 ADC (analog to digital) channels listed in the asm, and only 2 (o2 & eld) are documented...so if the stars are in alignment and the Gods are happy, one of these may be for pin C8. Nice!

Huh! I'm gonna have to get into some tracing, after tests the next two weeks. School kinda sucks . . . Oh well.

I should probably ask:

WTF should I look for? Basically, try to find and follow the circuit path from C8 on the Hf ECU to where it terminates?

Are the other ADC channels the other sensors going to a multiplexer? I think I read something about that a looooong time ago.

unfortunately, the only help I can offer is to look to the TPS circuit (pin C7) for an example. I was going to run the ELD signal to the EGR pin on a PR4 before, but ended early when turbod15 sent me a chipped PM6.

I haven't had a FICV in years. That's something right there. I think we could do without the purge solenoid valve, too, if people don't mind being completely non-emissions compliant. (I don't . . . At least not for that.)

I'll have to check stuff, but, that will help! Back to studying! =)
