TE Success! Some fun while tuning leads to a new sig!

I've been helping out Weebeastie get up to speed with OBD0 tuning, and, here are some texts he's sent me after doing some simple tweaks to the basemap I sent him:

"3k in 3rd gear throttle taps chirp the BFG Traction T/As.

"Hmmmm . . . slammin it 1st to second sends blanks texts, I guess.

"Yup, I need injectors, still lagging a bit up high, but if would pull up high like it does down low, I'll be doing 3rd & 4th gear rolling burnouts. (ed. note: He's at 90% DC at about 8K, not so good.)

"BTW, best tune the car's had yet, including 2 different dyno tunes."

(ed. note: The dyno tunes were done with an OBD1 conversion and crome. Granted, those tunes weren't very well done, but, the fact that I put together a basic basemap and within 3 alterations have the car running better than it ever has is still pretty effing fun! And, we're not even near done yet!)

This has been a fun evening. =)

Re: TE Success! Some fun while tuning leads to a new sig!

Ported Y8 manifold, very well ported and tweaked head (A6), Bisi lvl 2 cam, stock injectors (which he is totally running out of room with by ~8K), I forget what pistons, but, something high compression, Bis header, sizable exhaust (sounds good even over the phone), Si/ZC hybrid with the OEM 4.4FD, I think 15" Traction T/A tires.

I'm sure there's more, but, I just woke up and having had my morning tea yet. LOL!
