i was having this idea if i short out the o2 heater wires will it burn out an ecu. i was thinking since on my neptune i have the o2 heater disabled an i take my ecu out at night if i had the wires shorting out would it burn out some ones ecu if they tryed to put it in my car to steal it.

No. They'd have to be using an ECU that still has the O2 heater enabled, which isn't likely, and even then it would only pop the transistor for the output... if that.

Hint: rewire power, ground, and injectors with other inputs on the harness. Make the same modification to the inside of the ecu.

Fry their injector driver, map, and TPS sensors along with the power driver circuit and that will accomplish what you desire.


I myself, did this, and a handful of other things to my sol...

I tell friends if they can drive it away, it's theirs. I don't even pull my ecu out . I created a pic microcontroller to sense my inputs and have anti start sort of like Neptune, but it goes off range of input and input, not just a sequence of inputs. All wiring and mods are safe behind the airbox; requiring dash removal just to get at it. No other way to bypass.

wow i love that idea can u help me out maybe a how to or some pin outs u used to help me to make sure i do this correctly.
