Good afternoon injected people!

My name is Jeroen and I'm from Belgium.
I drive the last version of the civic EK. It has a european D14Z2 sohc non-vtec engine in it & has 90bhp stock.



It's controlled by an 37820-PHX-G12 ECU. I looked this uk and it's obd2b.
I've swapped the intake manifold for a D16Z6 one (better flow, larger plenum) also the exhaust line is a complete ek9 line (appart from the header).
In future a supercharger is comming.

Now I want to fine tune the engine and therefore want to go obd1.

Things I need so far:

-Conversion harness
-OBD1 ecu (any suggestions? P28? I hate limb mode!! no need for vtec so far)
-do I need to run a extra wire to my distributor?
-anything else I have forgotten?

We are going to make this mod on the same civic as you, this month I think, with a dual bin for E85.
We are from Lille in France.

Yours is not the SPFI that dodo talks about, that is the 96-98 EJ9s. Yours is the same wiring and all D16Y7s have.

Get a conversion harness from obd2b-obd1, and plug in a chipped ecu and tune it. You could run it on a P06 or something, but its not the right ecu. The only change you need to make is from 3 wire IACV to 2 wire IACV, just like many of the obd2 cars have.

Don't go supercharger, huge waste on this engine. Turbo isn't too bad, you'll make a bit of power, but you're still bettter off going D15/D16 at some point.

I allready bought a supercharger. It was for cheap on ebay and I can use it on my future D16. Just as a test I will run it on this D14 @ low boost

I don't know why I should buy a P06. What is the difference? Is there a list of all ecu's?
I am an electrician so wiring and stuff is daily food for me.

I really seem to like a P28 + moates deamon + neptune

The only difference between a P28 and P06 is vtec circuitry, so if you don't need vtec, either is fine, if you need vtec, get a P28, or add the circuitry to the P06. All chipped ecus are essentially the same as long as they have the circuitry for what you need, which should be most all of them since I doubt you need anything fancy.

BTW, I have my D14z2 running a T25 at 8 psi, normally on neptune, occasionally on crome.
