May be the ECU is already an external ROM one , so just unsolder it and put a 28 pins DIP socket .
If not , the easyest way is to add an additionnal board that allow the PM7 - E31 to get an external ROM .
Once done there are some software to edit maps (freeware or for 20 bucks) , and some people sell "sport maps" for the sctock D16A9 .
