I was just wondering that myself. I saw it in the Wiki this morning but couldnt find it on the new forum.

I'm dying here now that I've sold my hatch... I'm definitely going to have to do something...

Did you guy's ever find a working solution to your IACV issue?

Not sure exactly what you guy's are using for that, but I came up with an idea (depending on your current solution, no extra parts may be needed). From my understanding, the IACV is a PWM like device and the ecu measures that signal to find out if it is correct. The idea I had is to record the various output values of the IACV (using scope or other device) during various modes of operation. Then, if the engine simulator uses a microprocessor, run the ECU pins for the IACV to the mcu on I/O pins. then use software/PWM on the mcu to drive the ecu pin(s) appropriately.

I dont really consider the IACV a problem though, sure it would be nice to have a replacement, instead of a hunk of metal on the bench, but just pick up a spare from a breakers and use that. Someday i will draw out the IACV output stage and that'll give an idea on how its obtaining feedback.

Going to build my own sim at some point though, as its annoying/impossible to test certain things in real life on an engine. Will post full details on it when it happens, but i cant say when.

I am for sure. I have a AS in Electronic Engineering, so I should be able to help out. I am learning the asm stuff and wan't to try some things... and don't want to mess up my daily driver. I guess I should dig into the cvs and get up to speed.

FYI, all the old engine sim files are part of the CVS tree.
