I pulled out a PW1 ecu from an Edm car, a 1993 1.6 MPFI Concerto with cat (D16A8).

I am puzzled--the board looks like an OBD1 board, but the adapters are OBD0. Any clues anyone how to go about chipping it?

btw I am positive the car is MPFI and catalyzed.

With out be able to look closer at the board it is hard to tell what components you need besides the obvious which is a 28-pin socket and 74hc373 latch.

My question is, besides which components to use, which program to use... Uber or Turboedit? Is it OBD0 or OBD1???

here i found this on a gogle search it should help it says that the processor is the same as the p04-g03 and uses 238 base code


P04-G00 and P04-G03 => 1992-1995 Civic LSi, 90hp, D15B, european model (germany), one lying around here, the G03 in my own car
I forgot, if someone needs to know: mainboard in P04-G00: 01D01360-1500, processor OKI M66301, Software: 238

Thanks, so it's a P04-simil ecu then. I am absolutely positive it's MPFI though. So how does one go about chipping this--the OBD1 way?

that ECU in my opinion is not any good

it looks just like the PM9 USDM DPFI ECU
its OBDO, not OBD1, and the hardware is comparable to the DPFI board almost in everyway, heres a pic for you to compare

The car may have 4 injectors, but didnt some of those rovers use batch injection?

edit
