When you do the IAB mod on a USDM P28 when do the IABS open? The stock figure is 46oo rpm but this cannot be programmed in a P30 rom (crome).
I want to check the pin to see if it works.

when you turn the ignition switch on you should see the iab solenoid moving. I think you should use a p72 basemap.
I know they will be powered at ignition on but they should open at a certain rpm (stock is 4600).
Can someone confirm I have to use P72 base map?Can i datalog with P72? Crome says the rom is not supported by this plugin.
How can i have datalogging and iabs???
Also what will keeping the iabs shut constantly do? ie connected directly to vacuum.

Yes, the IAB plates are pulled with ignition is swtiched on...... and intake
air now passes thru the long runners of the manifold.....
When your hit IAB range which is 6K rpm on a stock P72(GSR) ECU the ECu will pull pin (A17) to ground which causes the IAB solenoid to release the linkage and thus intake air is now running thru the 'SHORTY' high rpm runners....
You mentioned 46oo RPM.. which is actually close to the stock P72 VTEC point which is 4400 RPM....
