this is a weird one! I have a UKDM 91 crx vtec with a JDM b18c-r and a JDM P73 ecu. im using the original b16 loom and have added in any extra wires that were needed. removed wires from the b16 ecu block and matched them up with b18 ecu block.
Whats happening is im getting an error code 20, eld. Thing is i though it was only the US have the electric load detector.
The engine is give problems but i dont know if its due to the eld cause from reading here no one seems to have the same symptoms!
Basicly i cant give full throtle, if i do, it goes for a split second and the loses all power to the engine then goes again then loses all power again! can anyone help me? im getting desperate!

I dont think the ELD 20 is your problem. I am running a JDM ecu in a UK car and I am getting an ELD 20 code but I can rev out with no problem. Also I dont think that ELD 20 is a problem... only a bug, cause no-one here is that bothered about that code. I think you need to look at something else causing the rev problem.

are you cutting out or just stopping at a certain rpm

I agree with titan, i dont think that code 20 is your problem.. i dont really understand your post either, i dont know what motor you have for sure the b18c5??? i dunno but what OBD are you running and, ect... I thought the p73 was generally normally a ECU for 96-00 cars...
and once again i dont really understand your symptons.. "are you cutting out or just stopping at a certain rpm or just at WOT is seizures."

ill try again! :D
I have a UKDM crx with a JDM ITR b18c fitted and using a P73 ecu from the ITR. its OBD2 but the car was originally an OBD0 with a b16a1.

the problem is if i put the accelerator to the floor it takes off then 2 secs later its like the ecu goes into a fail saf mode and cuts all power to the engine. if i keep my foot down it takes off again and the same thing happens again and will continue. however if i only give it about 1/2 throttle then it will rev up fine until about 6k revs then strugle to go any higher and has little power! but it doesnt go into the limp mode.
when it cut the power in limp mode its like someone has pressed the brakes.

i thought limp mode wont let you rev above 3k revs but mine does so im not sure what to call it!

there is no cel light but when i bridge it i get the error code 20!

i have gotten the injectors changed and have just replace the fuel pump!

Did you use the OBD2 dizzy for one? For two what do you mean you matched the wires up from the ecu blocks do you mean clips? And if so you need to either rewire your ecu from OBD0 to OBD2 w/ the proper pinout or put the pins back in the OBD0 clips the way they were originally and got to rywire.com and order the OBD0 to OBD2(a(96-99 teg) or b(00-01 teg))swap harness.

yip, im using a OBD2 ITR distributor. the mechanic did the wiring. what he did was use the b16a loom but fitted the right type of connector on the engine side and then ran the wire into the OBD2 ecu block! does that make sense? he spent about 30hrs doing the wireing!

Well like stated above code 20 isn't your problem thats just a bug. I would double check your wiring because it seems like the problem started with your swap. Not to bag on your mechanic but 30hrs. (at how much per hr.) and it still isn't right? When you could've spent $100 on a swap harness. Go back through the wiring make sure everything is in the right place or take it to a honda guru if you can't seem to get it yourself. Mainly the dizzy harness look to see if he just color matched the wires cause that won't work look in the wiki to see how it should be wired. I don't know what you have tried already so I can only give info on how to do it the way everyone w/ a running swap does.

it seems to be the same problem as the fella in this thread!

he said he just ran a new wire back to the ecu from the eld and it fixed it. im gona try gettin an eld and fit it before i rip it apart.
the mechanic used the block diagrams from here and and a service manual too.

It sounds as if you don't have an ELD sensor at all. And if the ecu you are using is a USDM ecu it might need it. I would try it, couldn't hurt.

its a JDM P73 ecu im using. but i cant find anywhere if a JDM ITR has an eld! all i know is that EDM dont and USDM do!
can you shed and light on this?
