Overview#

OBD1 is the designation for Honda and Acura engine management electronics from 1992–1995. While some Accord and Prelude models adopted OBD1 connectors as early as 1990, OBD1 is not an official standard (unlike OBD20). This reference documents all OBD1 ECU variants and their vehicle applications.

Note

OBD1 refers to the connector and control system used by Honda/Acura from the early 1990s through mid-1995. Each ECU model (P05, P06, etc.) is designed for specific engine and vehicle combinations.

Connector Type#

All OBD1 ECUs listed above use the OBD1 connector standard. This connector is not compatible with OBD2 vehicles without proper adapter wiring.
